Francisco Medina Donoso
DIRECTOR, ARTIST AND RESEARCHER
A Chilean transdisciplinary artist and researcher, Francisco Medina Donoso has undertaken specialist training in Germany, Argentina and Spain, supported by academic excellence scholarships. Over the past six years, his artistic practice has expanded beyond the performing arts to encompass the visual and expanded arts. His research has been presented in theatres, museums and art galleries in the Canary Islands and Madrid, Spain; La Plata, Argentina; and Santiago, La Serena and Ovalle, Chile.
His creative methodology draws on archives, photography, performance-lectures, video and exhibitions in several formats to develop strategies of artistic representation that question the power relations that surround him.
