During their New Year's tour, the Young Orchestra will perform Symphony No. 1, composed by Mendelssohnin 1824 when he was only 15 years old. It was not until 1827 that the piece was first performed to an audience by the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra.
They will also perform Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto, in this case accompanied by Bomsori. Written in 1878, it has become one of the great concertos par excellence performed by expert violinists, as it implies great virtuosity – both in terms of the soloist and the accompanying orchestra. The public will additionally be able to enjoy Bomsori' musical and interpretive talent in the Canary Islands this holiday season. Said artist is internationally recognised as one of the most dynamic and exciting violinists of this day and age.
