The tenor, born in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife, began his solo career in the Opernstudio and Ensemble of the Opernhaus Zürich. He has taken on the role of Tamino, Don Ottavio, Pollione, Tebaldo, Edgardo, Alfredo, Fenton, Faust, Rodolfo, Jason, Ulysse, Grigori, and Arcadio, as well as the world premières in Sardanapalo (Liszt), Caruso in Cuba (Schaunard Award for Best Performer of the Year), and El Abrecartas.
His discography includes the award-winning premiere of Sardanapalo and Liszt's Faust Symphony (Audite label), and El retablo de Maese Pedro (Harmonia Mundi label).
